I don't buy it, but I'm not willing to get into an argument about it." Wise There's absolutely no proof for destructive behaviors coming from secular folks. Even though there is some very interesting data on the (high) morality (and non-criminality) of atheists and agnostics, I think that could be selection bias, as atheists and agnostics tend to be more educated, and education reduces one's risk of destructive behaviors- like crime.bard.edu "Nearly one and a half million individuals are housed in adult correctional facilities in the United States. The United States Department of Justice reports that "the typical offender is undereducated, unemployed and living in poverty before incarceration."1 Inside our prisons, 19% percent of adult inmates are illiterate, and up to 60% are functionally illiterate. In contrast to this, our national adult illiteracy rate stands at 4%, with up to 23% functionally illiterate.2"scribd.com :-) I am an agnostic. I am enjoying the fact we have the highest educational attainment. This is, of course, for wingnuts proof of agnostics being co-opted by the conspiratorial left wing American educational system- to which I saw RIGHT ON. Since education gets you more money, a better chance of being happy, and a greatly reduced chance of ending up in prison, I'd say we should all pray the great conspiracy marches on. Crime and "destructive behavior" are most often the children of ignorance and despair- and those two young terrorists are driven by socioeconomic forces. It's sad when people want to blame them on the lack of religion, but such insecurity is to be expected from people with invisible friends. How terrifying it must be to believe in something so speculative and intangible. I can't imagine living with a burden like that.
