The highest-MPG Honda was the two-seat CRX HF. In 1989 it had a 62 HP engine, manual transmission only, needed 12 secs to go 0-60, and EPA estimates were 49 MPG city/52 MPG highway.

The 2011 GM-Daeowoo Cruze ECO is the follow-up to the 2010 GM-Daewoo Cobalt XFE. It's not a brand new car. The improvement is only 5 mpg highway. The old Geo Metro (Suzuki Swift) used to get nearly 50 mpg before it became the Chevrolet Metro. Suzuki still sells the Swift in overseas markets.

my 1990 geo storm got 30 city 36 highway....i think it cost around 14K.

20 years later you have to pay 30K to get roughly the same mileage????

Quite frankly my 2000 grand prix supercharged would get 27-30 mpg highway.

Yeah, its amazing how many of your guys get great mileage on cars they don't make any more.
