Interesting. Whose numbers are you using? Market size numbers are all over the place, and depend on many things, including:
- the definition of 'SFA' used by the market research company
- the definition of the 'SFA market'
- the reputation of the market research company
- who paid for the research
- the users of the research data

In other words, so-called 'market-analysis' is notoriously unreliable.

By the way, people that follow this thread can read a new book 'Sales Force Automation Using Web Technologies' by Khandpur and Wevers, published by John Wiley and Sons. Pretty interesting, and NetGain gets good press. The authors quote a market size of $3 billion in 1998, and a growth rate of 40-50%. This includes software and services.
