Larry, I didn't recommend shorting CPQ. They're going to have a great 4th quarter, as they are the leader of the charge to lower PC prices. Their manufacturing is ruthlessly efficient, so they do make money. I would recommend covering your CPQ short whenever you can. I believe Dell reports earnings on Nov. 24th. I wouldn't be short prior going into earnings, because you never know what their earnings are. Actually on Dell my idea was that if they miss earnings, there will be plenty of time to get a short position in the following day. Dell won't crumble overnight, and they won't melt down like CKS Group yesterday. Dell would be a bit like INTC. Even though INTC gapped down after their earnings to $86-87 and traded there all day, look where they are today: $75-76.
