In,

You seem to know what you're doing. I've done well with Apple calls and then Apple puts at one point this year and now I'll hold some Apple calls for a while. I figure it will go to the mid to upper 20's at least when there's some more good news. I was under non-disclosure on the new Macs that were announced yesterday, and I really like them. Apple has a loyal customer base. A lot of desktop publishing and graphics people will automatically upgrade to the new Macs, since they are so much faster than anything out there right now. I expect that Apple will make some money on them. I also like the new distribution agreements and the deal with CompUSA. All that will add to sales. So if RADAF is a Christmas play, I think Apple is, too.

Then there's bound to be some exciting announcements of additional alliances before too long. And the new CEO will be announced. If that person is charismatic, the stock will reflect the excitement of that choice.

So I foresee some nice upward momentum within the next few months.

I don't think you were wrong to short. Your timing was very good. If I'd had cash I might have done some puts for yesterday afternoon. I just might not have kept them as long as you're keeping your short position.
