dabum3 ..

Just wondering why you have both KMP and KMR ??
Are you holding the dividend shares ( KMP ) in a personal
account and the stock paying shares ( KMR ) in a tax
deferred account ?? 'Tis the only reason I could come up
with for owning both ..

ETP had grown to a double-size position relative to the rest of the holdings in my dividend portfolio.

Unlike you, additional money flowing into that IRA is minimal, so the only way to increase the number of positions is to "harvest" profits from existing ones... which was the plan all along and why I started with so many high yielders and MLPs.

I used the proceeds of the ETP sale to add to underweighted positions.

So for now, I'm going to keep EPB, EPD, ETP and KMP (despite the drubbing today) and put MMP and KMR on my "to buy" list... will also check out TPZ.

Also on the "to buy" list are ADP, CLX, GIS, UHT and NNN.

If I run out of profits to harvest, at some point, I'll probably begin selling high current yielders for dividend growers... I'd like to complete the process sooner rather than later, but need the current income for now.

Thx for your input,
Jim
