But, it would mean more regulation and Big Government, eh? Well I was somewhat tongue in cheek with that comment since Krugman was comparing Ireland and Texas. But now that you mention it, maybe everyone would be better off if Texas went its own way? It was kind of my point though that how do you prevent moral hazards when you are discussing at the country level? Germany learned - but it was a harsh lesson for them. And that 100 billion Mark bill? It bought a loaf of bread and you got 20 billion Mark back!
