Texas is one of the few engines of job growth right now. Moving a company from one state to another to escape taxes doesn't create jobs - it just moves them. I was just kidding about Texas. I thought the comparison by Krugman of Ireland today to Texas and the savings and loan mess of the late 1980's as rather, ......uh.......weird. My Texas comment was just meant to be funny. ......But there is an uneasy lesson here and that is the moral hazard issue. Should States or smaller countries of Europe be consistently bailed out because they are too big to fail?
