Canada is going through a cultural shock. Similar to what COMECOM suffered after the fall of the USSR. Canada, moved from wood economy, to iron economy. Business left Maritimes and concentrated around the Great Lakes. There was where the US Industrial Revolution boomed. That Industrial Revolution has ran its course. Now there is a new Industrial Revolution and the Canadians have not yet comprehended it. Older folks do not adapt to the new times. It is going to take about 20 years for a new generation to see the new world as nothing but business as usual.
