Yeah, but yer nephew's factory pays them by check, with federal, state, and SS taxes taken out B4 they get it. Only diff between them and me would be that I file taxes to get money back, and I collect SS. I reckon, if they stick around long enuf to be eligible for SS, they've paid their dues. If 10 of them pool their money to save rent and send money home, well... my grandfather made it here cuz all his brothers came, one at a time, to earn money to get the next one here. They better have their documentation together in case of an INS raid.

They are often not known as illegals as somehow they come up with Social Security cards.. phony... and other data to show they are citizens. Yup.. But those phony docs are merely the tickets to get a low paying job that we know native born Americans are loathe to pursue. In addition to being scapegoated and abused by the "employers", they will not file tax returns for wages withheld nor will they ever claim Social Security benefits against a fictional SS number, although the employers must remit against the given number. In other words in addition to their contribution to the economy by doing the stoop labor that keeps our food affordable, they do not get income tax returns or Social Security. But then again, thinking does so short circuit xenophobes....
