Basically, that's why the political argument is between Progressives, who used to be Republicans and Democrats (the majority of votes FOR the Civil Rights Act were liberal or progressive Republicans), and Regressives, who are 95% of the current crop of Republicans, Blue Dog Democrats and Teabaggers.

What is funny is that they don't understand the 50s and pre-protest 60s. The marginal tax rate on the wealthy was 91%. I'm for going back to that one, as long as we define wealthy as a heck of a lot more than $250,000. And, spurning the advice of Dwight Eisenhower, they now embrace The Military Industrial Complex rather than distrust it.

T,

And the people against the tea party want to continue on the current path to economic, social, and moral hell.
