Dear Richard,

You know what Richard, before CSCC, ASND, COMS went into deep sh*t, it seemed as if they were invincible and the sky is the limit. Their earnings kept doubling, tripling, even quadrupling every year, and so did their stock prices, and then BAM, first their stocks went nose dive, and then people found out that their technologies were in deep sh*t, and then it's too late. That's why we need to keep an open mind and open eyes on this MRVC stock and company.

I am not trying to discredit Dan Spillane - I think he is a very intelligent guy - but people seem to like his positive stories about MRV being always at the top. Similarly not long ago, people like Kovich because of his positive euphoria, the stock is gonna to go to 50 real soon, blah blah blah, and then BAM, the stock went down to 25 and change and Kovich is nowhere to be found. I am not bad mouthing or faulting Kovich either, he is a decent man and he posted according to his belief, but he could be wrong. I was also wrong hundred of time in the stock market, otherwise I would be retired by now. I also posted to the best of my knowledge and belief, but I could be 100% wrong.

Please keep an open mind and alert eyes, gentlemen and ladies, it's never harmful to learn from others. But use your sound judgement.

Just my 1 cent.

Mike.

Hi Richard,
Shareholder sentiment is just as valuable to other shareholders as
just an occasional remark or two, from someone such as yourself, who has as much insight in this company as you have shown in the past.
I appreciate your posts but lately you seem to have chosen not to share it with others.
That one person, that was made an example of by the owner's of this thread, has had a very positive effect on the tone and content of the average post, since. It's even has enabled a few to disagree about
issues in a more civil manner. Also by pointing out how one's use of
words is/can and does provoke others into passionate responses has even had a moderating effect on those that ordinarily would just criticize someone just to be provocative. Our technical people that we have counted on have chosen to move on. The person that was disciplined for the use of profanity has returned and made many invaluable technical posts that was sorely needed when our company's stock performance has taken the steepest decline (not including the cabot affair) since 1995.
I will agree that if one would superimpose many other companies stock
performance during this time it does seem to be a sector problem.
This does not however give me comfort. One important reason "a Cisco" hasn't taken as hard a hit is IMHO due to ITS NAME RECOGNITION. Our company's management has repeatedly shown it feels that name recognition is of little value.
Please feel free to let me know where you may disagree with this post
as I am by no means a well informed shareholder as I might like and I come here to get valuable information about our company that I have not been able to get anywhare else. i.e. SEC FILINGS, company prospecti, professional analysts, paid news services, Reuter's fee based, internet, etc., Trade magazines, consumer computer magazines(By the way our competitors feel important enough to advertize in) and by reading Mickey Spillane Winn's quick course in WDM and Gigabit technology.

John LoBianco

I would like to hear something from our CEO other than how I.B.D. is "the only place one can find the heartbeat of America"
