When the pension checks stop, and annuity payments fail to start, what is becomes what is obvious. The unpayable debt and unpayable pension makes for heady brew of wasting toxic stew. Under the circumstances, cannot see anyone but uncle sam making capital investment, but uncle sam has no money to invest, only funds to speculate. Bad equation.

HI Elmat: I agree with your comment but one point on GM. In the U.S. auto company execs had one hand tied behind their backs in union negotiations due to labor laws. Of course there are more than two sides to any story and we all know greed / self interest comes into play. Tim

America is starting to look like China and Brazil with a very small middle class, a very large poor or lower class and both being manipulated by a very elite few at the top.... America facing a new reality really affects only those living in the large and middle sized cities.....all others just stare with mouths open(like China,Brazil) wondering where next meal is coming from. The real struggle is already starting, Bikers, survivalist's, armed activist's.....all looking to the future. Chas
