No kenneth, it didn't. It just kept union people paid and pension benefits paid. It robbed creditors of their rights under bankruptcy as well. They also now have 45 billion in tax benefits that they will never pay for as well as handouts to GMAC that will never be paid.

Keeping the union workers, some higher than 70 dollars an hour at their inflated pay while they smoke dope and drink during their brakes is simply inexcusable.

the bailout didn't save anything but the over paid union bosses salaries and the exorbitant auto workers pension for the time being while violating all existing US contract laws and bondholders rights.
