Agreed.
The way I figure it, all prehumans are nonhuman, but not all nonhumans are prehuman.

Now for the real weasely part - (grin!) I did earlier describe us as late-stage prehumans. That way we're alllll nonhuman, even the most exquisitely evolved among us.

For all this to wash would require a perhaps unreasonably strict definition of full humanity. So, since my bit of semantic contortion drew a protest, I'll back off from that bit of wordplay. 'Tis after all the human thing to do ... ~giggle.~
