Speaking of wasted bandwidth, tech stocks are like rock and roll; they had their great creative surge, but now it's all about a few big companies trying to squeeze market share out of old hits, lousy imitators, and each other.

4G handhelds are great, but conceptually, they were being imagined 40 years ago. And nobody is expecting a British Invasion.

Gold is silent, gold is patient. Gold doesn't brag or demean or inflate itself. I still believe that a simple life and trust in one's fellow humans is the ultimate goal, but until then, we should make our worldly promises in gold.

Still waiting for that whizbang app to drive a new age? Move on people.
