To all from the Great White North Greetings on Remembrance Day to all Canadians. It just occured to me that Gulf may be a possible (secret) bidder for SOLV. They have just sold (I'd guess) 150 wells and a sour processing plant in Zama, Alberta to Phillips (I think) Petroleum plus four gas plants near by in the Keg River area of Alberta (to Calahoo Petroleum) so that should free up some money for other interests. Gulf is already in McMurray with a small Steam Assist Gravity Drainage Plant. They are having a major fight with area Natural Gas Producers as they contend that removing the Gas will not allow removal of millions of barrels of Crude. The battle is ongoing between them and North Star Energy (Surmont Field).
