One way to look at this is Couric needs Palin for ratings more than Palin needs Couric to get her face and message out there.

The MSM anchors need these interviews to remain on the NYC "A" list.

I recall the big deal when Rather got a sit down with Hussein before the war.

I think they referred to it(the interview) as a "get".
