I am not directly responding to your question
so I apologize if this is not appropriate.

I am new contributor to this thread and am not
currently a daytrader. I am becoming very interested
in this and am trying to convince my wife that
she can do this. What I am finding in doing research,
and your question about a news service prompted
me to post this, is that there doesn't seem to be
a company or site that packages up all the different
services and matches that with your investment objectives.
Those services being on-line trading, news, advice, etc..
Depending on your objectives (active day trading 100+ trades,
less active, buy & hold, or whatever) different services
are better suited to your strategy. I have read numerous
postings that are asking for info on what the best on-line
trading service is, news, service, etc..Some brokerage houses
are getting into the game, although their interest is
self serving. Is there a website or company that packages
an optimal set of services based on your objectives ? From
what I can tell it is up to the individual investor to
figure this all out and stay on top of new developments
with the services and new offerings from new companies,
and do what their ultimate intent is: make money trading
stocks! With the pace of change in this area it seems
that there may be an opportunity here.

Am I missing something ? Anyone have any advice ?

Thanks
PJD
