Understood. I believe you may discover that state law and physician ethics may conflict with your definition of when to withhold life support. Yes, Terri Schiavo's demise was horrible by any standard. We certainly disagree concerning Jack Kavorkian, DO -- the man has made so many diagnostic errors concerning terminal ill patients he is in MHO a fool playing God. If a patient want to commit suicide, there are plenty of texts on that subject, but don't ask an ethical physician to participate.
