Malinvestment is one crux of the matter. GE is a proper example of a company skewing its identity toward favoring oligarchic malfeasance, versus its former self. One need only explore the 15 years of CNBC and some of the networks involvement in the skewing of opinion as its feature product, and source of revenue, as being more important than trade goods. the objective there should be clear? If you can control information, anything you project, whether its about diesel engines or the good politicians claim to do, can be engineered to enable largesse, at the expense of a competitive landscape of capital flows seeking the best rates of return for the best performance achieved by free markets. Preservation of largesse is the essence of all the worlds entrenched leadership. Degrees of freedom are backseat to self interest as egotistical projective identification, now entrenched as social systems creep. The debate here isnt really a debate at all, the polarization of interests, China vrs USA,... russia and china, bulgaria and brazil...no matter the combinations of interests, they are just temporal hierarchal alignments of compartmentalist self interest. The problem to overcome isnt even being framed, accept as continuation dynamics are asserted in posturing positions...as image conscious egos are prone to do. The problems being addressed, the positions being laundered through public media outlets, fail in all respects to capture the essence of the obligations required by holistic planetary societies with degrees of freedom fully engaged. Its not about us versus them, its only about each of us.
