I do understand, that if USA had not been involved in WW2, then you might count WW3 as WW2. However, to Europeans, WW2 was pretty big already before USA stepped in The US stepping in isn't the issue, its whether the war happened at all. You didn't say the benefit was worth the prices of US involvement in WWII, you said it was worth WWII. but if you look at maximizing value in a society, there surely can be a huge difference between two products, that seem almost equally valued to the consumer. I suppose their can be, but usually their isn't. Also there isn't even any objective economic value to society. Value is subjective, at least economic value is (moral value and such concepts are outside the scope of this conversation). that the mouse accessories are all treating the symptoms and not the cause, whereas much advice is actually preventive. In some cases they work well. In most cases, when the non-monetary cost of acquiring information and changing habits are included, they cost far less than following advice.
