I disagree with you, Dave, on two counts. First, I think the press
has more to do with the fact that the last large trade show of the
year is coming up (COMDEX FALL, Las Vegas) next week. I think SYSF
is mostly just previewing what they will be showcasing at COMDEX.
Second, I think SYSF is focused on the OEM side of the market,
whereas Cybermedia is focused more on the retail side. Cybermedia
is NOT an end-to-end support product, as SysWiz is. If SysWiz ever
get the OEM penetration we have all been waiting for, there won't
be much need for a retail product, as far as new PCs go. I don't
think a company like HP generally alines itself with losers, and
Packard Bell, like it or not, sells more PCs than Dell. The current
OEMs signed up for SysWiz represent nearly 10% of ALL PCs MADE. I
don't see that as a bad start to a highly complex and relatively
new product/market. IMHO, patience is the watchword of the day.

Dave agree with your caution. All these good news announcments are hiding a real smelly chart. I think they will miss next earnings. However I'm finding todays sub $7 prices hard to resist.
