I live in a heavily gerrymandered district which has been mathematically figured out how to disenfranchise any and all anti-incumbent voters. They have high speed computers to work out the fractals of district boundaries to make sure unless something very very unusual happens like the incumbent is caught on video porking his neighbors dog, that the incumbent wins everytime and they want you to believe, oh the and the election was fair and straight up! Bull S#$%T! We now have the Soviet style election system. Basically the incumbent is on the ballot and nobody else.
