If the price of the stock is forced below $5 I think it is no
longer marginable. Therefore you would have to cover or sell.

The only way a Market Maker could make Cymer unmarginable would be to bring the price below $5 a share.

Personally, I would take out a second home mortgage to buy Cymer at a price under $5. So if that were to happen, the price wouldn't languish thee long.
