"anti-Islamic hate crime" This is where you expose yourself to the charge that you (in presenting this screed) have an agenda. The level of antii-Muslim sentiment I have encountered in the people around me is waay higher than anti-Semitic sentiment. In fact, if you look at the stories in the news, "profiling" by law enforcement of potential (however tenuously) Islamic malefactors is endemic. Is law enforcement drawing the same sort of bead on Jews? I don't think so. To portray this through the filter of recorded "hate crimes" is to dismiss the serious law enforcement bias coming from the very top. Ever since 9/11 many many citizens whose principal crime is to look like ethnic Arabs have been subjected to unduly negative police attention. Not to mention airport security.
