Perhaps, but the Kingdom/Dominion/Reconstructionist doctrine is alive and well in thousands of congregations throughout the land. Remember the "Moral Majority" and other religio-political guerilla groups who would positively chortle to see the Constitution undercut (specifically, church and state) if it served their ends? The spirit of the thing is still alive today, and I have little doubt that the Kingdommies (sic!) would not flinch from instituting a theocracy as strict as any form of Sharia being practiced today.
