But Barack Obama is our president instead, so the body-scanner debate played out rather differently.

This is either a confused or a disingenuous take on the TSA situation.

But one can make the same "partisanship" argument about the Left who were so outraged at the less intrusive measures Bush took but now are willing to be complacent because Obama is doing it. The sword cuts both ways.

The public is angry because people are not total idiots and can see that these procedures are targeting people who obviously aren't a threat.

Come on! You've seen the video of children being frisked, of old grandmas, and for gods sake even PILOTS are expected to go through these screenings. It is a policy that makes no sense, whatsoever.

At this point in time people would be complaining had GWB done the same thing. Because we know better now.
