Actually, I think that depends on the policies of your stock brokerage. Some of them make their decisions on marginability requirements from the stocks' previous volatility and trading history.

In Alydaar's case, after trading for many years on the OTC BB, and with a fairly volatile recent history, that may mean a wait well past the potential NMS listing date.

You'd want to check with your brokerage to be sure.
