Unfortunately, (R)'s abandon anyone sane at the slightest sign of wanting to do anything but get back in total control. I like how Stockman correctly points out that cuts will have to be made, and taxes raised, on EVERYONE, to dig ourselves out of the hole of 30 years of tax cuts and borrowing to paper over the rising debt.

He makes good sense, but unfortunately, Stockman is the latest R condemned by his party. Any R who is reasonable gets condemned and that's because most Rs are determined to keep their wallets from getting tapped no matter how bad things get in the country.
