TOT and E - Yes, your points are valid.

I basically rode up SGY and GEOI recently and sold them but still wanted to hold oil companies. I'm not sure when oil is going back over $100 a barrel, but I want to have a good sized position in oil companies when it does.

I agree that these two companies are not favored right now for various reasons, but they did bounce pretty high the last time oil went over $100 and I'm hoping they're ready to move again. In the meantime, I feel that their value characteristics and size will make the downside risk lower than other plays right now.
