Brumar, let me put it this way.

California didn't become wealthy because of liberalism.

California became liberal because of wealth.

You're showing your gooberism again.....CA is desirable because it's a beautiful state with beautiful weather....Texas is not.
In my job I did a lot of interviewing and recruiting of engineers graduating from CA schools... We learned that unless the prospect had family or a girl friend in the East there was little chance to pull them out of CA...... They would always take the interview invitation to get a free trip to NYC..

An in ground pool adds no value to a house and as a condition of sale the owner may often have to allow money for it's removal...

You can get a much cheaper house in WVA or in the coal region of PA........ya ready to move.....?

How does a 4 br 2.5b two story house with an in ground pool for $150K sound?

Sounds like San Antonio to me :)

Just visited distant Swedish descendant relatives there - incl a very attractive 2nd cousin - just 8 weeks ago.

Amazing how much home 150k$ buys you just North of San Antonio, aro 20 minutes from the airport by car.
