CC, Selling uncovered calls to me is hugely hugely hugely risky. In my mind someone could buy ATPG at a price significantly above your short call strike.

Tell me about that strangle on ATPG.

Do I have to own the stock to do that?

I sell the 14 Jan Put for about .95

I sell the 17.5 Jan Call for about .30. (There is no 17 from what I can see.)

What happens if the stock price is 18 on expiration date? The Put is worthless. The buyer of the Call wants his stock. Soooo....I guess I have to have owned it before doing this strangle, si?

Max profit is with the stock above 14 but below 17.5, right? Then both options are worthless.
