Mq,

Seriously how would suggest one protects themselves from the surging debt levels in the west ? How do you think that they shall be resolved..

Not a gold bug... I've beaten it since 2000... but now I wonder... essentially in layman terms the governments of the west continue to refinance their debt and adding to it... so that it rises steadily as a % of GDP (or any other measure of wealth :O) Were I to do that... as a % of income... it would be financial suicide..

There are more interesting adventures available these days.

Chacun a son gout

My interest in gold reflects my increasingly avid interest in political economy and macroeconomic issues. That it has become a highly profitable thing only serves to pique my interest.

It's a very odd thing, though I suppose a good one, to find that one can still develop substantial new interests at a stage in life when we are supposed to be mastering those with which we began.

Well, Mq, I need to have your prognostications soon.

I know you've assiduously been working charts, compasses, Ouija boards, etc., but all I want is your best guess. A USD $50 range either way won't upset me.
