I found this post interesting. It is a comment to an article by Robin of Berkeley called "The Care and Feeding of Progressives." The guy has a point. The educational system does not seem to encourage independent thought or problem solving. The group is important above all and that leads to an emotional response to many problems or issues.

Having gone through the California school system through the 60's and 70's, and therefore fully immersed in the Indoctrination, I believe the progressive's pelagic thought process has been reinforced in school by encouraging group problem solving that permits the quickest emotional response to be the foundation from which adjustments are made to given problems. Notice how Congress wants to deal with the healthcare reform act and you'll see my point. No one told these people (or me for that matter), to shut the hell up, sit down and learn something. Now, progressives are bumping against a boundary, a philosophical boundary in their borderless realm of fancy and power. Whether the progressive pelagics can survive the wounds caused by their incessant desire to bump against the boundary of conservatism is yet to be seen. Whether conservatives can be worn down, is yet to be seen.
