Driven by the mentality of the movers and shakers down here in government and private industry. Follow the money trail you told me and it leads to tourism, retirees and home building here. You would have thought so many of the well to do with winter homes here would have relocated their businesses down here over the years yet they end up in Atlanta, Houston, Austin, Charlotte,Denver ect if they want to move for taxes, nonunions, lower costs or weather.. As to universities Houston is still seriously lacking for such a large metro area. Funny so many Floridians used to look at me like I was crazy when I'd tell them the real attractive fast growing markets with opportunity were Raleigh, Austin and SLC..a delusional state we live in<ng>
