Thanks for running the contest!

Congrats to Custer Investor for winning on his first attempt.

Congrats to Coug for reaching the elusive 6 stars and now an impressive 7 of 9 record!

Some warned me about going with FNSR again because it had a huge jump just before the contest started after the last on ended... well, I liked the valuation and stuck with it and it turned out to be my top performer. I'll probably stick with it in the next contest....

but for now, put me in for $100.

Elroy,
Thanks for the invite and the work you put into running the contest. Put me down for the next round. I would expect reversion to the mean as luck can only carry me so far.
Consistency like coug is the goal of investing so his achievement is admirable.

Custers modus operandi worked for him so he kept repeating it--until the Battle of Little Bighorn. I try to keep that in mind while investing.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend,
CI

Next round info:

OK, lets have the upcoming round run from December 10th to April 29th.

You can post "I'm in for $100" anytime between now and the 10th and you're in. People who have already posted that for the upcoming round, please don't post again, I'll get it from your previous post.

For this round to start you can only trade on Fridays and Tuesdays. I'm back on a PC with Excel 2003, and that might reduce some of my frustrations of last round, so we may open it up to trading every day in the middle of the round, lemme see how it goes.

For opening picks, if you get your initial picks (how to allocate your initial $100) in before Friday, December 10th close, you get that days' share prices. Otherwise you can make your initial picks on any following Friday or Tuesday.

You get up to 4 trade days per month. You can do as many trades in your portfolio as you want on a given day, and it counts as one of your 4 trade days.

No slimey maneuvering!

Other rules are in the header, ask if anything is unclear.

I guess that's it!

what luck... remember FNSR jumped just before the contest started and today, a day after it ends, VRGY is up 35%....

The dead time between contests has really hurt my picks!

Kirk
Stock Price Shares Value Cost … Change
ALTR $37.71 0.932 $35.14 $26.83 … 41%
FNSR $24.01 1.603 $38.48 $15.60 54%
LRCX $49.22 0.659 $32.44 $37.93 30%
VRGY $9.14 2.857 $26.11 $8.75 4%
Kirk Total = $132.17

Not enough to have won... but funny how that worked out.

:)

Now I have to decide do I keep the same picks for a third time in a row or make changes... for now, wait and see and I'll stick with $100 cash until I post picks.
