Dad was working up there during the early warning system days... mom chased a bear away that was nosing around my playpen... I was in it ... kind of zoo in reverse :O) Lived in an insulated tent... then trailer.. then graduated to log cabin.. water from the lake.. but we had a baseball diamond.. and dogs everywhere.. big dogs... one of ours was called Wolf and the other Fungus he was small but apparently grew on you.... Folks friend was a train engineer whose son inspired my literary development ... Treasure Island, Robinson Crusoe, Call of the Wild, White Fang .. Moby Dick.. I have some beautiful hard covers :O) Lots and lots of natives.. I wondered where they were when we moved back to Montreal.. was strange :O)
