On the contrary, you do believe in spontaneous generation of life. You probably just don't know the definition of spontaneous.

spon·ta·ne·ous /sp?n'te?ni?s/ Show Spelled
[spon-tey-nee-uhs] Show IPA

–adjective
1. coming or resulting from a natural impulse or tendency; without effort or premeditation; natural and unconstrained; unplanned: a spontaneous burst of applause.
2. (of a person) given to acting upon sudden impulses.
3. (of natural phenomena) arising from internal forces or causes; independent of external agencies; self-acting.
4. growing naturally or without cultivation, as plants and fruits; indigenous.
5. produced by natural process.

RE that computer found in the woods, how would it "tell" you it was an artifact of intelligence? I agree that you'd be correct in thinking it was because you'd be able to reason that it, particularly the internal software, isn't something that a natural process would generate.
