Add to that the "FOB" who works under the table. No need for benefits, since they have Medicaid. Also an amazing number of lower income children developing "issues" that require Social Security benefits. Some of the children I see who get Social Security for their "issues" remind me of my son when he was young. He is now a computer engineer, and never was diagnosed with anything but being a normal, active kid.

There must be a network of physicians who provide social security qualifying diagnoses, thus raising the "sit at home income" to an income to be survived on. Not great, but neither is $8.00 an hour at Taco Bell and there are no child care expenses.

Until the music stops, it's not a bad gig to be poor, reproduce like crazy, and collect from the gov't. Sadly, they will be the voters of tomorrow.
