Too bad you cannot get a picture of these on S.I. If I had it to do over again I would make my home totally independent of utilities.... Well water or Cistern.. THAT is off the roof... so the roofing material as I had it in St. Thomas was Rubberoid.... A thick paint. Generators... but now better wind turbines. I wish I understood how to get the energy into the house. Septic fields... Anything left ? Heating... This is the big one. Wood is taboo.. AND propane kersosene are hitting the high end on price. Solve the heating problem.
