Gt does not pay me anything to post ;) I do it for free.
If you have little confidence in management, could you please point out exactly what management has done wrong? As for flop
titles I think the industry has learned its lesson. Aklaim being the perfect example of a once industry leader that put out anything..thinking the more titles the better..I think all gaming companies relize that its quality over quanity..even Aklaim has begun to focus on this strategy. As for disappointing qtrs I do not expect any in the next year with the title linups they have..But of course
I will take it qtr by qtr..As for cash Microprose has almost 40 million which should keep the ship up for a little while..

Videogames High on Wish
List

November 12, 1997

More than a quarter of those planning to purchase
toys this holiday season will be buying computer
software according to the American Express Retail
Index.

Strong predictions for the holiday season continue as the American
Express Retail Index promises a strong showing for videogame
software. Sixty per cent of all holiday shoppers plan to buy toys
this year. Of those buyers, 27 percent stated that they would be
buying computer games.

Also, when asked to list the hottest toys for the season, shoppers
picked the Sony PlayStation and the Nintendo 64 as 'hot items'.
This should bode well for the industry as they reap the rewards of
higher spending budgets (an average of $1,233 this year vs.
$1,160 per shopper last year), and higher profile videogame
software.

Mr.Conyers:
You notified us previously of you decision to sell and bid us a fond farewell. Now you return spewing unmitigated bovine fecal matter. The downside GT faces with regard to title sell-through is the same for any PC/NG game publisher in the business. Its most obvious you have an axe to grind with GT (or is all PC/NG game publishers??). Its personally very disappointing to me,(Since it was I who extended a warm welcome to you, when you left, to return here and join us.), to see such a uninformative, vindictive, and totally childish post coming from you. I figure your short the stock as this blather is reminiscent of the IOM thread and the sorry shortseller posts it receives on a regular basis.
