Yes, you DON'T ever lose your base or you're screwed...It's virtually impossible for a presidential candidate to get re-elected without an enthusiastic base that supports him. Obama has moved too far to the Center and it's dangerous as many in his Democratic base don't really trust him anymore.

He's about to agree to give up Obamacare

Says who. I haven't heard this. That doesn't mean he has not said so. Is it somewhere I can read if it is not a "wing site."

The base is what elected him, as a D.
He's now an R.

This is precisely the kind of bombast that I have been reading on or hearing from these extreme media outlets...and what may eventually put a republican in the WH in 2012. The truth is that these views are shared by no more than 10-15% of the so called "base". The president was elected with 53% majority...he has an obligation to all Americans, including those who didn't vote for him.

It's time for him to negotiate with the D's.
He's about to agree to give up Obamacare if the Rs will let him keep tax breaks on millionaires. Whatta guy.

More of the same...now he's giving up Obama-care? Give me a break.
