What this post says, if you can read it slowly and carefully, is that someone else has some information which I believe will be shared with all of you.

And there is a big difference between information about the company which someone should have access to that the general public doesn't. Information which is in the public domain is, well, public. The fact that you don't have it yet doesn't surprise me.

Ellen,

Unless this mystery person is an officer or director of the company, or the information came directly from the same, it would not be insider information. For sure, it is not as clearly insider information as the "quote" from an earlier telephone call from the company. The $5million connection is not relevant. The comment "merger is complete" is enough.
