I think every individual should pay the same tax, say $1500.00 , regardless of income.

Great idea.

Where are you planning on moving to once that suggestion is adopted by the GOP and the country is left the smoldering heap that tax deniers are pushing for?

1500... not too practical IMO... for some folks it means that they don't eat.. and if you are well healed you may be using more services like highways, National Parks that some folks will rarely be able to use if ever ..

US prison population is over 6x Canada per 100K folks.. Those folks are an expense and contribute nothing...

Then there is the non altruistic idea that making sure smart folks have a shot irrespective of who they are born to as opposed to too many stupid folks born to money getting to run things... I'm less altruistic than practical... :o)

and no I don't want my dough taxed twice..
