One explanation has "perfect and conclusive evidence". It all fits perfectly. Evolution from other species. It is all there. Hard, hard evidence. Fossils, hard DNA evidence, archeology. Strictly speaking, fossils only are evidence there's been a wide variety of species over time and those species have increased in complexity over time. DNA evidence shows that all life on earth uses the same genetic coding system to write the recipes for building proteins. However, note the terms "write" and "coding system" - there's no way to know how software invents and writes itself. Every other instance of symbolically encoded information we know of involves an intelligent being or beings.
