Bob, the government may have already figured out how to pay for social security and medicare. I noticed on my SS statement that there is a schedule of income provided by the IRS to SSA which has a sliding scale to determine how much they are going to deduct from my SS check to pay for Medicare and how much to pay for Prescription Drug Benefit. Backdoor means testing is here already. Nothing keeps the SSA from taking more every year until we are paying for Medicare with our Social Security checks. End of problem! Hooray!
