><>...Good morning Freeus...><> The troubles of Job came to mind as I read your story. In Job's case it was because of a direct intervention of God. Those three (friends?) that Job was getting advice from were condemned by God, in that they assumed Job had sinned against God, and even had Job wondering. But God told Job starting in Chapter 38 all the way though 42...God is who we should be listening to. Job 38: 1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, 2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. For 38 chapters Job gets nothing but babble, even from his wife who said "curse God and die".... In contrast to Job's troubles many people bring on their own loss, and I can't speak for them. Ususally in some way we cause our own downfall by not walking in the ways of God and His commands. Being free in the law as christians, does not in-fact free us from the laws of the land. If we are to live free in a civil society we must pay tribute to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's. And what is Caesar's is determined by Caesar, just as what is God's is determined by God. ----------- ----------- Freeus you said: "Yes, I do think all are invited to the feast. But not all know they are there because of whatever is in their heart". Our Lord Jesus said: Matt 6:21 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Have a blessed day my friend, and may God continue to bless you and your family. Shalom...><> Freeus I understand your feelings about "The only way to God is through Jesus"... You feel this to be a difficult scripture because of the thoughts of your very own Family who do not believe it, and your fear that if it be true, then what of them? But if Jesus is your Lord then you must know it to be the truth. Your believing all that He has taught, and having unyielding faith in Him, will be the testimony to help your family come to the realization that Christ is the Messiah ,therefore believing all He has said to be thuth ...In the alternative, your doubts and or wavering (if they know of them) may be what gives your loved ones a feeling of security in their own disbelief of Christ's teachings and His Deity. Stand in the gap for them Freeus, God will have mercy on such a prayer for others. I will join you in that prayer. 2 Pet 3:9 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
