Rob, your cynicism is completely warranted -- in the cases of managers and politicians. Shareholders have no real access to the information pertinent to making valuation decisions; we can only guess. Insiders have all of this information. My own studies have shown that insiders rarely lose after they place their bets. I follow over 150 companies in which there has been significant insider purchasing, and in only a handful of the cases are the shares significantly lower. Ivax is a case where the stock has dropped dramatically from insider buy points. But in most cases -- you are right -- and IDT is no different -- the managers and directors keep most of the goodies for themselves.

Greenspan may indeed help out. I assign the Fed lowering rates a 50% probability.
