daniel, Yes. What you are seeing partly right now is "smart" tax loss selling. Usually December/January are good months for the market. So smart tax loss sellers sell right now so that theycan repurchase stocks in early/mid December in order to position themselves hopefully for a first-of-the-year uptick. And it works the other way too. I am busy buying SEMX shares right now cheaply that are likely being sold for tax loss reasons.... Sincerely, Doug F.
